D studio is a Bucharest based professional photography studio and production house set up in 2010 by producer Ducu Ion and photographer
Dragos Borcanea, two friends brought together by their love for visual arts. Since then, surely and steadily, D-Studio expanded its portfolio
from simple product photography to very complex projects involving both television and photography production. In just 10 years, D-Studio professionals continuously perfected their skills and gained recognition for their work with some of the biggest movie hits in Romanian box office
as well as with the most renowned fashion and lifestyle magazines, automotive publications and advertising agencies.
Alongside D-Studio, a team of excellent freelance professionals also grew to include directors, directors of photography, art directors, production coordinators, camera operators, photographers, retouchers, make-up artists, hair stylists, music composers etc, so that today, the production house can offer complete services for all types of visual art projects.

D ucu is a producer with an extensive experience in coordinating projects for television, cinema and advertising. With a career spanning over
20 years, he was the person behind two of the biggest hit movies in the Romanian show biz in 2012 and 2014 - „Minte-ma frumos” and „Cuscrii”. Passionate about visual arts in general, Ducu also performed as a photographer for fashion magazines such as FHM and VIVA and produced
many TV commercials for international brands in the field of home furnishing, food, fashion, retail and pharmacy.

D ragos is a self taught high-end photographer and retoucher with over 15 years of experience in the field. He started living his life long passion working with an automotive publication and later moving on to the glamorous world of fashion magazines and commercial advertising. While an excellent photographer, Dragos was also a very well appreciated studio lighting trainer for F64.ro, the largest photo and video gear shop in Eastern Europe. Dragos dedicated himself to mastering the art and techniques of photography and video production thus earning a well deserved recognition proven by his collaboration with big names in the fields of fashion, automotive industry and retail companies.
C ristina is a former translator turned marketing specialist turned photographer & food stylist. Cristina has an extensive experience in setting up and coordinating teams and is very skilled in turning concepts into content. We met Cristina in her quality of Marketing A/V Production Coordinator for IKEA South East Europe where she was juggling multiple teams and tackled all aspects of complicated video projects. Since then, she qualified as a photographer and continually specializes in food styling pursuing her passion for what she always knew was her calling. For four years already, Cristina is helping us make food look good in photos and bring clients’ vision to life.
J anos is a very talented sports and commercial photographer and retoucher with over 10 years’ experience. He went from drawing to photography when he finished high-school and got his first camera as a present. From then on the passion for the art of painting with light has been part of his life. His work for international cycling competitions (Carpathian MTB, RedBull Romanian Motocross, World Cup MTB stage race in Albstadt, Germany) and exquisite use of light caught our eye and convinced us to invite him to be part of our team.
